The success and longevity of companies that have been built to last is traceable to several factors, chief of which is prioritising service over profit. In my humble opinion, companies who genuinely pursue service always end up profitable. The intentional and relentless pursuit of meeting needs is the fuel behind all that we do as a people and as a company.
It has been a unique privilege to lead several companies which are making their marks in their respective sectors. As head honcho to these entities, it has been my prime responsibility to create a clear and compelling vision. The global purpose of our existence is to recognise and meet the needs of people, businesses, and governments. This is essentially the core of who we are and what we do.
The global pandemic which started in 2020 created a ripple effect in the entire world. Businesses were disrupted, revenues were decimated and economies were devastated by this rampaging virus. By the spirit of resilience, we have been able to not just survive but thrive against all odds. The industries in which we operate were severely impacted, but our operations have been built to last by ‘eating’ what I call the ‘PIE’. Our strategic advantage is credited to the PIE – Partnership, Innovation, and Efficiency.
By Partnership, we thrive on forging alliances (internal and external) that are visionary as well as productive. By Innovation, we are adept at doing old things in new ways. And by Efficiency, we operate lean and use little to achieve much. This sums up the crux of our business DNA.
We will continue to build agile, resilient, and ambidextrous organizations which are corporately and socially responsible, poised to meet the needs of humanity. This we intend to achieve through the relentless pursuit of opportunities on a global scale.
